On a gas meter like the CGR-FX, the reading comes off the meter head rather than out of a terminal block. The meter exposes its output directly, so no adapter is involved.
Nothing about this needs the supply interrupted, which is why utility submetering is usually the easiest part of a retrofit to schedule.
None of this covers site feasibility. RF range, cabinet access and power availability are survey questions, and a compatibility yes is not an installation yes.
Any meter that speaks Modbus or M-Bus connects to the Rhino AP, whether or not we have set that model up before. What we have already configured is a record of past work, not a boundary. Tell us what you have at sales@rhino.energy and we will name the device you need.
