Is the Common CMK-02 compatible with remote monitoring?

Yes. Rhino already reads the Common CMK-02 over Pulse / S0, GazModem over RS485 and RS485 Modbus.

The answer that matters

What it takes.

Rhino has the Common CMK-02 configured already, so the connection is proven rather than probable.
It is read over Pulse / S0 and GazModem over RS485 and RS485 Modbus, an interface Rhino connects to directly.
What the install looks like depends on the building and on which version of the meter is installed, so Rhino sizes it with you rather than reading it off a model number. That is one short conversation.
On site

What connecting it involves.

On a gas meter like the CMK-02, the reading comes off the meter head rather than out of a terminal block. The meter exposes its output directly, so no adapter is involved.

Nothing about this needs the supply interrupted, which is why utility submetering is usually the easiest part of a retrofit to schedule.

None of this covers site feasibility. RF range, cabinet access and power availability are survey questions, and a compatibility yes is not an installation yes.

Any meter that speaks Modbus or M-Bus connects to the Rhino AP, whether or not we have set that model up before. What we have already configured is a record of past work, not a boundary. Tell us what you have at sales@rhino.energy and we will name the device you need.

One meter checked. Now do the building.

Send us the meter list for the site and we will come back with the device per meter, the transformers and adapters it needs, and the parts of the job that need an electrician on site. Before anyone talks about price.
